Menu Location: Settings - Program Parameters - Program - Threshold
Sets the image processing threshold level for what will be displayed as a white pixel or no pixel at all in the Monitor Mode window. 0 passes all pixels, 255 passes no pixels. 80-100 passes about half the pixels which have a light brightness of 80-100. If using 16 bits/pixel the threshold might be as high as 2000.
The lower the threshold value, the more detection. The higher the value the less detection.
Think of it like a filter or a pair of sun glasses, the more light you let pass through the more you, or the program will see. 0 is no light and 255 is all light, so use values about in the middle or less. Values of 80-100 are recommended.
NOTE:
Threshold and Sensitivity are the two main parameters you need to adjust for
determining the level of motion detection. Adjusting brightness and camera focus
also help. Try to have the area that you are monitoring be well lit with good
lighting.
