Menu Location: Settings - Quick Configuration - Configuration By Timer
Configuration By Timer, will load a program configuration at a particular time of day for you. Turns alarms on and off, and can adjust video brightness and contrast - great for when day turns into night. Or automatically turn the alarms on or off e.g. off just before you return home, and on just after you leave to work each day. The same with video capture. Also you can load various configuration files immediately to save having to type in the configuration each time.
Brightness and Contrast adjustments only work with the recommended video drivers, while the other parameters work with any video drivers. Edit the video configuration files to set the parameters - which can be done as described below.
Load Video Configuration File Now
If checked will load a video configuration file upon completion of dialog window. There is a field to specify which video configuration file - files 1-10 are acceptable. The video configuration file contains video settings. This will cause Video Monitoring Software to exit Web Monitoring, save the video file, change the video settings, then re-enter Web Monitoring Mode.
Enable Video Configuration By Timer
If this check box is checked, it will enable video configuration files to be loaded at specified times of the day.
The Time field, specifies the time to load the file. Acceptable values are 0-23 for hours of the day. If -1 is entered as a value then the time slot is disabled.
The Use File Number, field is the video file number to be loaded for the given time. Valid file numbers are 1-10. The program translates the file number into to file name of the form video?.cfg where ? is a number between 1 and 10 and tries to load it e.g. Video4.cfg. The file is loaded if a valid time between 0 and 23 exists in the Time field beside it.
Duplicate values in the Time fields are not allowed, but duplicate configuration file numbers are.
Edit Video Config File Number
Enter the number of the video confguration file you wish to edit. It will be opened up with NotePad, so you can edit it. How to edit it is described in the file. After editing it click Save, from NotePad to the default location.
Note:
You are editing a temporary copy which has been copied to the monitor directory. Use the following command to copy it back to the program directory after you have saved it (otherwise the new settings will not have been implemented).
Save Copy of Video Config File
Copies the edited video config file from the monitor directory, back to the program directory so it can be loaded by the Video Monitoring Software program.
Note:
Whenever you click OK on this menu item, it clears that the particular time slot which might have been loaded already, so it might get loaded again if the hour is right. Use Load Config Now to test your new config files as you edit them while in Video Mode, and with Enable Video Configuration, disabled.
