Review Captured Video Files

Returns a list of captured video files generated by Video Monitoring Software. File names consist of time and date file created so you can calculate when motion was detected. The file size is also listed.

The best way to download and view a video file is from your browser point to the listed file with your mouse, right mouse click the file, and click "Save Target As". You may have to adjust the suffix of file name to .avi from .htm for the saved file name. After the file is downloaded to your computer view it there with Windows Media Player. This works consistently well. Otherwise your browser will try to stream the avi file from the server, and open up Windows Media player - this ties up the server, and sometimes has mixed results depending on the operating system and player version you are using.

At your computer click on one of the downloaded files -  Media Player should  pop up on your remote machine and start displaying the video in that file. The video file only shows video of objects captured moving. Note: no dead air time is saved in the video file - the benefit and efficiency of video motion detection over continuous loop video systems.

Note: You can forward, reverse, stop, and enlarge the video your reviewing with Media Player.
